Welcome to The HIVE.
The HIVE is an online gaming community built around respect, teamwork, streaming, community events, charity events, RPG and virtual tabletop gaming, and helping each other grow. Our community includes gamers, creators, veterans, active-duty military members, reserve military members, and people from all different backgrounds.
Everyone is welcome here, but everyone is also expected to help keep this community safe, respectful, and enjoyable.
By participating in The HIVE website, Discord servers, community events, voice channels, chats, member areas, streams, or any connected community spaces, you agree to follow these Community Rules.
1. Zero Tolerance for Racism, Hate, or Discrimination
There is absolutely zero tolerance for racism, hate speech, slurs, or hateful conduct toward any person or group.
This includes hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, military status, age, or any other protected or personal characteristic.
The HIVE is a community for everyone. Hate has no place here.
2. No Harassment

Targeted insults
Stalking
Doxxing
Encouraging others to harass someone

3. Respect Other Members, Admins, and Moderators
Respect is expected from everyone.
This applies to all community members, visitors, admins, moderators, event hosts, streamers, creators, players, DMs, STs, and guests.
You do not have to agree with everyone, but you are expected to communicate in a way that does not damage the community.
Respect includes:
Listening when someone asks you to stop
Not talking over people in voice channels
Not intentionally provoking arguments
Not derailing conversations
Not attacking people personally
Respecting moderator and admin decisions
Treating new members with patience
Keeping community spaces welcoming
4. Be Mindful of Sensitive or Controversial Topics
Before discussing sensitive or controversial topics in voice channels or community spaces, be respectful of the people already there.
If a topic may be controversial, ask the people in the voice channel before bringing it up.
This includes topics that could create conflict, make others uncomfortable, or shift a casual gaming space into a heated debate.
The goal is not to stop conversation. The goal is to respect the room.
5. Political Discussions Must Stay in Political Spaces
Political talk is only allowed in designated political channels or clearly labeled political voice channels.
If you want to talk politics in a voice channel, the voice channel must be labeled:
POLITICAL TALK
Political discussions outside of designated political spaces may be removed or redirected by the admin or moderation team.
6. No Pornographic, Adult, or NSFW Material
Do not post, share, stream, link, upload, request, or distribute pornographic, adult, explicit, or other NSFW material.
The HIVE is a community server and website, and these spaces are not meant for that type of content.
This includes:

10. Follow Platform Rules
The HIVE uses third-party platforms such as Discord, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and other gaming or community platforms.
When participating in The HIVE spaces, you are also responsible for following the rules, terms, and community guidelines of any platform being used.
This includes Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
11. Voice Channel Etiquette
Voice channels are shared spaces. Please be respectful of the people already in them.
When using voice channels:
Do not yell, blast music, or intentionally disrupt the channel
Do not record people without permission
Do not join just to harass, troll, or provoke others
Do not talk over others repeatedly

When participating in events:
Respect hosts, organizers, DMs, STs, moderators, and players
Show up on time when possible
Do not intentionally ruin the experience for others
Follow event-specific rules
Do not cheat, exploit, grief, or sabotage
Be patient with new players or community members
Communicate respectfully if you have an issue
Event participation may be restricted if someone repeatedly disrupts events or refuses to follow the rules.
13. Moderator and Admin Decisions
The admin and moderation team are responsible for protecting the community.
Moderators and admins may remove content, issue warnings, restrict access, mute users, time out users, remove users from voice channels, or ban users when necessary.
Not every situation will be the same. Enforcement may depend on the severity of the issue, the user’s history, the impact on the community, and whether the behavior appears intentional or harmful.
If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may contact the admin or moderation team respectfully. Arguing aggressively, harassing moderators, or trying to create drama around moderation decisions may result in additional action.
14. The 3-Strike System
Violations of these rules generally follow a 3-strike system, but enforcement is situational and based on the seriousness of the behavior.
Strike One: Warning
You will receive a warning and may be asked to reread the community rules.
Strike Two: Time Out or Restriction
You may be placed on a time out for a period decided by the admin and moderation team.
During this time, you may lose access to voice channels, specific channels, events, community spaces, or other features.
Strike Three: Ban
You will be banned from the server or community space.
15. Severe Violations May Result in Immediate Removal
The 3-strike system does not guarantee that every user receives three chances.
Severe violations may result in immediate mute, removal, suspension, or ban.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Racism or hate speech
Threats
Doxxing
Harassment
Sexual exploitation
Malware or phishing
Illegal activity
Serious abuse toward members, moderators, or admins
Any action that creates a safety risk for the community
16. Help Us Build the Community
For The HIVE to grow and prosper, it takes every single one of us.
This community is built by the people who show up, support each other, respect each other, and help create a space where gamers, creators, veterans, military members, RPG players, streamers, and friends can connect.
Let’s take care of this community and build it together.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
